The piece opens with a drawer in the frieze, fitted with bronze handles, above a drop-front revealing a fitted interior. This interior offers several small drawers, compartments, and shelves, typical of late 18th-century office furniture. The drop-front, lined with leather (worn, needs restoration), rests on pull-out slides forming a writing surface. The lower section opens with two doors revealing a storage space.
