Rare devotional reliquary containing a wax Agnus Dei, attributable to the pontificate of Pope Innocent XI (1676–1689).The central oval wax medallion shows a sacred figure, naturally worn over time yet still discernible. A circular Latin inscription is partially visible along the edge, with traces of lettering consistent with papal titulature.The composition is framed by an elegant rolled paper (papier roulé) decoration with stylized floral motifs and colored textile inserts.A handwritten label at the bottom refers to the Agnus Dei and the Pope.The frame is later, while the glass is original and period.Period: 17th centuryOrigin: ItalySize: 21 x 27 cm
