A 19th-century cast iron mold of the infant Jesus, designed for use in the lost-wax casting process or with soft metals such as tin or lead.
It consists of five interlocking parts, held together by a metal strap. (It is likely that one of the metal straps, which would have been placed in the lower part of the mold, is missing.)
This mold is in perfect working order.
