This elegant and rare Neapolitan Giustiniana earthenware tureen is a refined example of neoclassical craftsmanship. The body, with harmonious lines and balanced proportions, is embellished with a delicate polychrome decoration featuring motifs of exotic birds perched on flowering branches, rendered with pictorial finesse and vibrant color.
The lid handle, modeled in the shape of an elegant, stylized animal figure, interacts with the contoured side handles, lending the overall effect a striking sculptural quality. The base rests on finely crafted feral feet, a distinctive element reminiscent of classical decorative repertoire.
The surface features an ivory-colored glaze with subtle decorative threads, highlighting the craftsmanship of the piece. The base bears an embossed mark, testifying to its production and authenticity.
