Statue Of The Founding Bishop, 16th Century
A 16th-century wooden statue in the round of a saintly bishop, founder or builder, holding a church in his left hand. Polychromy and gilding are still visible on the mantle. Height 72 cm. The tip of the back mitre has been restored, the right arm is in fair condition (see photo), and the base of the plinth has been two-thirds rebuilt. The crosier that the bishop held in his right hand is missing.
