Chinese Porcelain Vase With Hundred Antiquities – Republican Period (early 20th Century)

This baluster-shaped porcelain vase from the Republic period (early 20th century) depicts a scene of scholars in the Famille Rose style. The hand-painted decoration represents dignitaries in traditional robes, symbols of wisdom and social rank. The reverse is adorned with elaborate poetic calligraphy in black characters. Stylized handles with gold highlights and a red mark beneath the base are also noteworthy. Despite visible restoration to the neck and wear to the gilding, this piece remains an authentic example of Jingdezhen craftsmanship.
