Claude Gaveau (1940-2021), a French painter born in Neuilly-sur-Seine, came from a family of artists. He developed a passion for painting at a very young age and entered the École des Arts Appliqués in Paris in 1955. In 1960, he enrolled at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Although influenced by Cézanne, Braque, and Dufy, Claude Gaveau also drew inspiration from music and lyricism. He gained recognition from the art world early on. In 1965, he held his first solo exhibition in a Parisian gallery. Internationally renowned, Claude Gaveau's works are frequently acclaimed.
