24 Louis XIV style knives comprising:
- 12 table knives, 24.7 cm,
- 12 dessert/cheese knives, 19.7 cm.
Knives in very good condition, handles bright and shiny, no silver plating loss and few visible scratches from use, but some random shadows on the blades, see photos.
Alfénide hallmark in full on the blades.
Hallmarked with the horse's head and the "OC" mark for "Christofle Silversmiths."
Hallmarked with a weight of 24 for large knives and 21 for small ones, very high-quality silver plating.
Alfénide was a silversmithing brand created in the 19th century by Charles Halphen and acquired by Christofle in the early 20th century.
In the 20th century, Christofle used this brand to produce certain models that overlapped with others in its range.
Sold in a very good, clean presentation box.
