Secretary Bonheur Du Jour, 18th Century, Louis XVI
A bonheur du jour (daylight writing desk) in marquetry of walnut and burr walnut with stringing and motifs in rosewood, sycamore, and boxwood. It has a drawer in the frieze, three small drawers, one of which is an inkwell. The top is closed with a slatted walnut curtain. The drop-front is lined with red leather.
