Iran, Persian Silver Plate, Late 19th/Early 20th Century. Splendid Persian plate in finely chased solid silver, late 19th/early 20th century. This circular plate is entirely and finely chased with a central rosette decoration. The rim is adorned with vegetal scrolls, palmettes, and stylized flowers. Its edge is embellished with an ornamental frieze. Hallmarked on the underside with the number 84, corresponding to the silver standard, 84 Zolotniki, 875/1000, in effect during the Russian occupation of Northern Persia. A work of very high quality, with refined and elegant lines. This platter, suitable for serving or displaying, is also a stunning piece with its delicate curves, easily adapting to your interior.
