Chest/safe dating from the early 18th/late 17th century. Probably from the Dutch East India Company (VOC). This type of chest was primarily used for the secure storage and transport of valuables. This example appears to be of Dutch/English origin. Asian-style interior with a false bottom. Multiple compartments and storage options. Keys included and locks in working order.
