Hanots Glassworks Art Deco Night Light "butterfly Ball" And Nickel-plated Bronze 1925 - 1930
Artist: Verreries Des Hanots
A very beautiful molded-pressed glass ball nightlight produced by Verreries des Hanots. This model, known as the "Butterfly Ball," is referenced as No. B 4 in the glassworks' commercial catalogs but is never signed. It features a decoration of daisies and butterflies in flight. The globe has a very fine relief with a magnificent frosted/repolished effect on the raised areas of the decoration. Note its diameter of 18 cm, compared to the more common 15 cm. The octagonal nickel-plated bronze base echoes the decorative motif of the ball, featuring butterflies and flowers. The base is beautifully crafted and finely executed. This rare piece is entirely original, including the wiring and tightening screws, which gives it a unique character. Dimensions: Total height with base: approximately 21 cm; Ball diameter: approximately 18 cm; Base width: 16.5 cm x 16.5 cm; Weight: 1.850 kg. Very good condition. Beautiful patina from age. Its extra-long power cord allows you to place it wherever you like. This exquisitely crafted Art Deco lamp is ready to be installed in your home for a stunning lighting effect.
