Silver-plated footed bowl - Rocaille (19th century) A circular silver-plated footed bowl with a wavy rim. The basin is decorated with radiating gadroons adorned with floral motifs and finely chiseled scrolls. The rim features a relief decoration of shells and Rocaille ornaments in the Louis XV style. This type of piece was intended for the table, particularly as a fruit bowl, confectionery dish, or centerpiece. Likely French work from the late 19th or early 20th century. Some minor scratches from use. On display at Galerie Courcelles Antiquités, 97 rue de Courcelles, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris.
