China Commissioned. Grisaille Painted Plate, 18th Century
CHINA COMMANDE. Round plate painted in grisaille with a central scene depicting a gentleman and his dog going hunting, a cartouche with the inscription "Petrus de Wolfepetreil", gilt scrolls and shells on the rim. 18th century, circa 1750. Diameter: 23 cm. The decoration is very slightly faded. A small restoration. Visible only by lamplight.
