Important 18th-century Nantes Wardrobe In Cuban Mahogany, Louis XV Period
A substantial wardrobe in molded Cuban mahogany, with a gently curved cornice, a central oval at the top rail, and two doors decorated with scalloped moldings. The lower rail is contoured, and the uprights are rounded. The whole rests on two cabriole legs terminating in scrolls at the front and two straight legs at the rear. A lovely antique lock with its key. A Louis XV period piece from the port of Nantes.
