Louis XVI Chest Of Drawers With Secret Compartments
18th-century Louis XVI commode, a commode with two secret compartments, a slightly curved front, and inlaid square legs. The marquetry piece retains its original marble top. The two lower drawers are shallower, revealing two secret compartments with their original sliding mechanisms. In good overall condition, with a very minor repair at the top of the uprights (related to the upper rail, under the marble top, see last photo). The original marble top has a restored chip on the rear right (see second-to-last photo).
