Exceptional State Bed From The 18th Century
Alcove or State Bed, Transitional Period, Second Half of the 18th Century.
The headboard and headboard, of the same height, feature a molded crossbar rounded in the center, sculpted with gilt motifs that extend and rest on sculpted palm fronds on the uprights.
They are covered on all sides with a rustic Toile de Jouy fabric.
The bed base and mattress are new and measure 140 x 180 cm.
The square uprights, fluted and gilt on their inner faces, are joined by a curved crossbar sculpted with interlacing.
They terminate in spindle-shaped legs sculpted with oak leaves.
The bed IS BUILT OF SOLID OAK LACQUERED IN TRIANON GREY.
