Chandelier Called Lüsterweibchen.
A chandelier known as a "Lüsterweichen." This polychrome chandelier, carved from wood and antlers, depicts a young girl in traditional dress serving fruit and wine. The carvings represent Renaissance-style women, mermaids, and, more rarely, men (Lüstermännchen). These chandeliers were generally intended for the finest homes. The bust ends in a wide skirt holding two antlers. Swiss work, 19th century. (Some damage and missing pieces) Dimensions: 45 cm x 90 cm
