Set of three Provençal chairs in painted wood, 18th century. The chair features a "gendarme's hat" style back composed of three shaped bars. The legs are made of turned and fluted spindles joined by turned stretchers. The front rail is carved with a stylized vegetal motif. The original straw seats have a beautiful patina from use.
