Early Period Candlestick, Early 17th Century.
Interesting Early 17th-century bronze candlestick, cast and finished on a lathe. The original assembly of the stem to the base is secured with a large, stamped rivet, a technique typical of the period for this type of candlestick. A beautifully crafted piece with fine, vibrant, and well-detailed casting. The molded, stepped base supports a stem featuring alternating rings and balusters, culminating in a tall candle holder resting on a drip tray to collect wax drips. The piece is in excellent condition and dates from the very beginning of the 17th century. Note: Shipping within France is possible via Colissimo with tracking and signature confirmation: €20.
