A very fine solid silver and vermeil salad service dating from 1878 to 1897. It bears the hallmark of the master silversmith Léon Lapar, who worked in Paris between 1878 and 1897. It also bears the Minerva head hallmark for 1st standard silver. It is in perfect condition with its original gold gilding perfectly preserved, which is very rare for this type of piece. It features a beautiful floral decoration in high relief and incised. It measures 26 cm in length and weighs 177g.
