Pair Of Louis XIV Style Silvered Bronze Community Candlesticks, 17th Century
A pair of Louis XIV candlesticks, most likely community pieces, in finely chased silvered bronze, with bulbous sockets and conical stems mounted on wide, round bases with a cyma molding chased with delicate floral decoration, dating from the late 17th to early 18th centuries. These candlesticks are in good condition. One of the candlesticks is marked and numbered underneath and on the side of the base. One candlestick is slightly taller than the other by a few millimeters, and the edge of the base is also slightly different. Note: a repair to the screw thread of one candlestick, some minor dents and signs of age, see photos. Diameter: base 13.5 cm and 13.9 cm. Height: 22.2 cm and 22.5 cm. Reference: 300 104.
