Vase signed d'Argental (Paul Nicolas 1875-1952), multi-layered glass with acid-etched decoration of vine branches bearing bunches of grapes and leaves. Height 30.5 cm. A graduate of the Nancy School, Paul Nicolas worked for Émile Gallé before establishing his own business around 1919. He initially signed his works d'Argental, and from 1925 onwards, he signed them Paul Nicolas.
