Portrait Of Two Princely Children From The Early 18th Century

Attributed to Giovanni Maria Delle Piane, known as Mulinaretto (1660-1745). Oil on canvas depicting two princely children. The first is shown seated on a blue velvet cushion adorned with braid and gold thread tassels. On her lap is a dish of grapes and cakes. She offers a cake to a dog lying at her feet. Beside her, seated in a high-backed armchair, a young princess presents an armful of flowers. She is dressed in a richly embroidered gown adorned with numerous jewels that also hold her hair in place. Important carved wooden frame. Italian School, early 18th century
