Large Paire Of Bronze Door Knockers Milano Late XVII-early XVIII Century

An impressive pair of large solid bronze door knockers, characterized by refined sculptural workmanship. The elements feature a circular ring structure, embellished with relief decorations that recall plant motifs and zoomorphic stylizations typical of refined architectural ornamentation. The lower portion of each door knocker is finished with a central acorn or bulbous element, flanked by chiseled scrolls that lend dynamism and solemnity to the piece. The upper portion retains the original iron pins needed to attach it to the wooden doors.
