Pair Of Italian Art Nouveau Wrought Iron Corner Shelves Early 1900s
Pair of polychrome wrought iron corner shelves from the early 1900s, consisting of a sheet metal top with the edge decorated with a balustrade of embossed sheet metal acanthus leaves. The shelf is formed by two iron scrolls held together by clamps and rivets, with branches of flowers and leaves inserted in the centre. They are handmade and lacquered in shades of green, brown and red. They are Italian Art Nouveau artefacts dating back to the early decades of the 1900s. They come from a private collection in Milan and are in good condition. They can be fixed to the wall using a central hook in the corner upright.
