A very rare pair of lithophane globes. The scenes on the illuminated globes are extremely finely detailed. Both are in perfect condition. Dating from the 1880s, there is a slight difference in the frieze, resulting in a 0.5 cm increase in height, but the diameters are identical, including the larger diameters.
