Artist: Eugene Rousseau (1827-1890)
A rare, polylobed "Clair de Lune" bowl in violet crystal, resting on three hot-applied blue crystal feet. It features a hot-enameled, Japanese-style decoration of a golden-yellow full moon reflecting a weeping willow and scattered flowers across the bowl. This model was made at the Baccarat crystalworks based on designs by François Eugène Rousseau. Circa 1870-1890. Some scratches are visible on the base.
