"Ancient African Ritual Head – Kongo/yombe Culture – Central Africa"
African ritual head carved in wood, attributable to the Kongo/Yombe cultural sphere (Central Africa: DRC – Angola). The object features a hairstyle of natural fibers and an ancient ritual crust on the reverse, incorporating cowrie shells arranged according to a traditional cosmogram-like symbolism.
