"Plate From Marseille, 18th Century."
This polychrome earthenware plate from Marseille comes from the Gaspard Robert factory. Circular in shape with a wavy rim, it is bordered with a manganese line. Four flowers scattered across the base create a very airy design: a blue thistle, a yellow primrose, a parrot tulip, and a small, still-closed yellow flower stand out against the white glaze. They originate on the rim and come down onto the base, following the circular shape of the plate. In good overall condition, however, some small chips and nicks are present. Marseille, 18th century, Gaspard Robert factory. Diameter 25 cm.
