"Lip Nautic Ski Electronic Date Watch 1970 Steel On Tropic Bracelet New Old Stock"
An iconic watch from the flagship of French watchmaking, LIP, the NAUTIC SKI model, in steel, with date, from the 1970s. The NAUTIC SKI watch succeeded the LIP NAUTIC model. Particularly robust, it borrows from its predecessor a Super Compressor case adapted for nautical activities. Unlike its predecessor, however, the LIP NAUTIC SKI was developed with an electromechanical movement, similar to the movement used in the Bulova Accutron in North America. The presence of this electronic movement is indicated on the dial by a lightning bolt. Two crowns on the checkered case serve to set the time, and also to operate a bezel positioned inside the watch, which was an innovation and a technical improvement over external bezels, which were more fragile due to their greater exposure. The deep, luminous gray dial contrasts with the black bezel. The applied hour markers and luminescent hands stand out and add depth to the overall design. The original domed crystal provides a pleasing depth. The watch is considered new old stock; its case back still has its protective film (purple, removable) and it is fitted with its original black tropic strap. The brand's plastic logo is also still present. The watch is signed on the dial, case back, and movement, and is numbered. In perfect condition and serviced, its proper functioning is guaranteed by us for one year (except in case of shock or immersion).
