An elegant small desk or side table in mahogany and mahogany veneer, stamped J. Canabas and JME, dating from the Louis XVI period. With a cabaret-style top, it opens at the front with two drawers and one on the side. It rests on tapered legs ending in casters. Joseph Canabas became a master craftsman in 1784. Classic and understated, with beautiful, rigorous construction in the neoclassical style. This lovely piece, likely a commissioned table or small desk, is presented in its original condition. French polishing is available upon request and can be done in our workshop.
