Pair of decorative porcelain vases, French manufacture, Sèvres style, 18th–19th century
Pair of porcelain vases with a light blue “bleu céleste” ground, inspired by the production of the renowned Manufacture nationale de Sèvres.
The vases feature a slender ovoid body, a wide fluted neck and two elegant gilt handles. The decoration is enriched with lavish gilding and large hand-painted oval reserves depicting mythological scenes in a Neoclassical taste, with classical figures set in a landscape.
The base and upper sections are further embellished with architectural and ornamental gilt motifs, finely executed. The overall effect is highly decorative, characteristic of ceremonial vases intended for prestigious interiors.
Period: 18th–19th century
