Large Antique Gilt Bronze Wall Clock – Louis XV Style – 19th Century. Superb gilt bronze wall clock, richly decorated with motifs in the Louis XV style, featuring a highly animated rocaille design. A spectacular piece due to its size and the quality of its ornamentation. Description: Gilt bronze wall clock decorated with: Rocaille scrolls, foliage and tendrils, floral motifs in relief, an openwork basket at the top, and a decorative sculpted base. The whole presents an asymmetrical composition typical of the Louis XV style. The circular white enamel dial features: blue Roman numerals for the hours, black Arabic numerals for the minutes, and finely openwork gilt brass hands. Mechanical movement with key winding, with an internal bell (visible in the photos of the mechanism). Dimensions: Height: 63 cm, Width: 27 cm, Depth: 11 cm.
