Saint Synesius, Relic

A rare relic of Saint Synesius, also known as Synesius of Cyrene (c. 370–413), was an influential Neoplatonic philosopher, orator, and Christian bishop of Ptolemais. He came from a noble pagan family in Cyrene, Libya. A disciple of Hypatia in Alexandria, he fused classical thought with the Christian faith.
