Recamier - Antique Empire/Charles X Chaise Longue - 19th Century. Superb antique chaise longue in carved mahogany, Empire/Charles X style, dating from the 19th century. The wooden frame features beautiful, elegant lines, with scrolled armrests, carved legs, and finely crafted decoration. The wood, with its warm patina, highlights the authentic character of the piece. The seat and back are upholstered in light-colored (ivory/cream) faux leather, accented with decorative nailhead trim. Two matching cylindrical cushions are included. The upholstery shows signs of age and a natural patina, consistent with the age of the piece (see photos).
