Pair of Communion keepsakes depicting young women in communion dress, holding a candle and a missal. Touching work of cut-outs and woven overlay; faux tortoiseshell veneer, fabric reliefs, a silver dove, and finely cut paper reminiscent of paper cutouts. Late 19th - early 20th century. Some minor losses to the frame edges (found in an attic). Scattered foxing and pinholes. Protective glass included. Black frame 13 x 17 cm. Light wood frame 13.5 x 18.5 cm.
