This oil on panel has not been cleaned or restored. It depicts a scene in Basse-Goulaine, which we believe to be by François Edouard Bournichon (1816-1896), but the painting is unsigned, so we cannot confirm this. There is an inscription on the back of the frame: "Bournichon Basse-Goulaine." It is presented in a lovely gilt and copper frame, typical of the period. The technique is excellent. Sold as is.
