A period Louis Philippe style notary's desk - filing cabinet in mahogany and mahogany veneer, with a drop-front writing surface in its original leather, a side drawer with an inkwell ,a drawer beneath the writing surface with a locking system for the ten cardboard drawers with leather fronts (refurbished in the second half of the 20th century). France, circa 1830-60. This piece is sold as is: some restoration work is required: missing fragments of molding, some veneer chips, a few small woodworm holes, and old repairs to the side of the cabinet.
