Beautiful 19th-century Gilt Frame With Fluting For A 30p Photograph, Visible Area 90.5 X 63.5 Cm
A beautiful late 19th-century frame with a channel motif in wood and stucco, retaining its original gilding. The profile is well-proportioned, neither too thin nor too wide (10 cm). The joinery with keyholes is visible on the back. The frame is sound, with no weaknesses or concealed repairs. The original gilding is slightly tarnished with age but still very fresh. There are minor imperfections that could be restored. It is suitable for a standard 30P (62x65 cm) canvas or slightly larger. Dimensions: visible area 90.3 x 63.1 cm, rabbet 93.5 x 66.3 cm, width 10 cm, overall 110 x 83 cm, depth 6.5 cm
