18th Century Gilt Bronze Lion Jardinière.

Gilt bronze jardinière, 18th century.
Circular in shape, it rests on three claw feet. The body is decorated with gadroons and lion-headed mascarons holding movable rings.
The upper rim is flared and highlighted with molded decoration.
The base features a scalloped, toothed joint, attesting to the period of manufacture.
Wear and patina consistent with age.
Old restorations, subsequent to the manufacture, of the tin base.
Height 16.5 cm, Width 25 cm, Depth 22.5 cm.
