"Freeform Vase By Claude Morin, Blown Glass, 1980 "
This vase was created by Claude Morin and bears the signature "Morin 2-11-80". It is a nuanced amber color, darker at the base. It is beautifully crafted. Claude Morin (1932-2021) founded the "Le Pontil" glassworks in Dieulefit with his wife Florence in 1970. He was a pioneer of the Studio Glass movement in France. In kilns he designed himself, Claude Morin produced individual glass pieces such as vases, pitchers, tumblers, and bud vases, colored directly throughout. The range of colors is wide: from violet to yellow, including various shades of orange, blue, and green. The pieces quickly evolved towards balanced and harmonious lines, very refined like the famous Crazy Bottles. Regarding condition, please note some fine scratches due to use.
