Object description :

"Theodore Deck Miniature Vase, Late 19th Century"
Glazed ceramic vase with a turquoise-green glaze, marked on the reverse TH Deck. Théodore Deck, a renowned French ceramist, founded the eponymous company in 1858 with his brother. In 1887, he became director of the Sèvres porcelain factory. He is also the author of a treatise on ceramics that remains authoritative today. This miniature vase, in the form of a Chinese vase, is decorated with stylized rosettes in low relief and a vegetal motif on the lower part of the neck. The glaze is the famous Deck blue. The neck is damaged and has been repaired with an old restoration. Sold as is. See the numerous photos. Rare model. All questions welcome.
