Napoleon III State Cabinet In Floral Marquetry
A beautiful Napoleon III period secretary desk in marquetry. The straight front and curved sides are made of ebonized wood with a floral marquetry design. It features rich gilt bronze ornamentation. The front opens with a drop-front surmounted by a drawer, two doors on the sides, and a drawer below. Inside are six small drawers in marquetry of various wood species. The top is made of sea-green marble. Height 1.48m / Width at the back of the marble 1.17m / Depth 50cm / Width of the front between the two carvings 85cm.
