Large oval gadrooned platter with very high relief.
Beautiful, thick white slip with a brilliant glaze on high-fired tin-glazed earthenware.
The artist's handwork has inked deep gadroons across the entire platter.
The scalloped outer rim with regular points is repeated on the bottom of the platter in a quarter-round relief motif.
53 cm long,
42 cm wide,
4 cm thick.
Very good condition except for a slight hairline crack,
not detrimental to the piece, visible on the rim between two gadroons.
Particularly careful shipping for this large and rare piece.
