"Louis XVI Style Bronze And Crystal Chandelier"
A Louis XVI style chandelier in a "basket" shape, dating from the late 19th century. The structure is made of finely chased and gilded bronze decorated with friezes featuring geometric patterns of crosshatching, applied flowers, and palmettes. It has six "S" shaped light arms adorned with acanthus leaves. The crystal embellishments are lavish: chains of octagons and almonds, daggers, obelisks, and fleur-de-lis pendants. The wiring is old but functional.
