Miniature Nut-shaped Box, Carved With Miniature Scenes, 18th-19th Century
A carved wooden box in the shape of a walnut, with trompe-l'oeil decoration, opening to reveal two miniature animated scenes in carved bone. Late 18th or first half of the 19th century. In used condition, with some damage and missing pieces to the miniatures. Approximately 6cm high and 4cm wide.
