It features a rich decoration combining a turquoise background dotted with red polka dots, a dotted background with reserves showing lively scenes in pink and lozenges on a blue background.
Garlands of roses and olive leaves complete this decoration.
The handle is double-wrapped.
The lid is surmounted by its apple-shaped finial.
It is marked with the crowned A, for the Manufacture de la Reine, rue Thiroux.
This factory was created by André-Marie Leboeuf around 1775-1778, with Marie Antoinette as its godmother. which allowed the company to use its name and trademark.
