"Small Apothecary's Crucible, 15th-16th Century "
A pretty little crucible, cast in brass (a food-grade bronze alloy), with a handle for easy gripping and a wooden grip. It rests on three feet shaped like goat hooves, allowing it to be placed directly on the embers. A utilitarian object of simple beauty. A classic form, likely originating in Nuremberg during the late Gothic period. In good condition.
