Wrought Iron: 2 Majestic Gate Knobs, Baroque Style, 19th Century
Large wrought ironwork, 16cm x 16cm, a pair of gate finials, crafted with exceptional skill.
Each finial consists of a large, square, openwork, and embossed plaque, square centre, a large fluted dome, topped with five leaves and a knob, mounted on a rod turned into a baluster shape, then squared, with a 10mm threaded stem, a large bolt, and a 7.5cm diameter wrought iron rosette.
Once installed, each finial protrudes 10.5cm from gate.
Beautiful forging, rare in pairs. flaw: one of the two bolts is missing.
